Guys, you just wouldn’t believe what I’ve gotten up to and how much great content I have ready for you to enjoy. And also, wanna hear about the time I stopped a murderer with my mom voice?
~The Upside Down World on YouTube~
Those of you who go way, way back with me may recall my desire to start working in video and my complete inability to make it happen. Well, fret no longer, dear reader – The Upside Down World now has a fully functional YouTube channel! The solution to my video malfunctions, I decided, was to just point my camera at my adorable aquarium and talk. So that’s what I’m doing. It’s Rebecca unplugged and dropping truth bombs, filthy mouth and all.
Get the skivvy on how I made it through my personal apocalypse, find some wisdom, hear stories about my age-inappropriate adventures and more. I’m adding new videos constantly, so please be sure to like, subscribe and share every single video with every single person you know! Not sure it’s for you? How about a sample:
~Food For Thought Afghanistan~

In addition to running my mouth on the internet, I’ve been very busy working with an amazing team to stand up a new organization – Food for Thought Afghanistan. Food for Thought Afghanistan is a USA based, western-facing NGO with a mission to support the grassroots work of Afghan people. We’re registered as a fundraising not-for-profit and expect to get our 501c3 not for profit designation just as soon as I get the 60 page application done. In the meantime, check out our work, our board and consider pitching in. If you are interested in supporting us, volunteering your talents, or if you would like to discuss providing funding for one of our projects, please use the contact form on the site and one or more of us will get right back with you. Be sure to connect with Food for Thought Afghanistan on Facebook and LinkedIn as well. Oh – and let’s not forget YouTube as well. In fact, here’s a cool video of my partner, Ahmad Reshad Attai, getting an orphaned child off the streets of Kabul when he was running a charitable school there.
~Christmas is coming!~
Perhaps you have heard that the holiday season is almost here and you’re looking to buy products from here in the USA and would like to support small businesses and positive social causes. I gotcha covered, my peeps! Check out The Upside Down World merchandise store where you will find gifts for all of your smart, funny and insightful friend. A portion of each sale goes to support the leaders and work of NGOs serving their local communities around the world. And books! Don’t forget the books!
~Urban Earth Momma – Who needs a website?~
For those of y’all who are not aware, I do website design, branding, eCommerce and such through my business Urban Earth Momma. I have room to take on a new project before the end of the year, so if you have an organization or a store or you’re an influencer and you need help getting your web presence up to snuff, check me out and request a consult!

~Rebecca’s TikTok Tea Room~
And as a bonus, if you’re someone with a stomach for drama and scandal and you’re on TikTok, come join me in Rebecca’s TikTok Tea Room! I decided I needed a place to share the ridiculous googobs of stories that come from a life spent surrounded by psychos and nutjobs behaving in the most abominable ways without the jaw dropping drama overshadowing everything else I’m creating. TikTok is an excellent place for sharing and spreading drama and scandal, so that’s what I’m using it for. Like this video explaining what happened when I tried to get help at my Roman Catholic High School. Which was being run by a pedophile, as it turned out. True story. Check it out:
And, finally, if you haven’t been to The Upside Down World for a while, go check it out. It’s been totally redone and is nothing like the old blog most of you are used to.
So that’s it for now! Check it all out and let me know what you think!
Peace – Rebecca
